This is an alternative download for the Blender V3O import/export scripts listed here: Thanks goes to THVFD for his patience while I bugged him with all my Zmodeler2 questions. Requires Blender v2.7 These scripts are licensed under the GNU GPL v2.0 license (Any use of these scripts and resulting actions is at the sole-risk of the user! I have done my best to ensure the scripts work as intended, but it's a good idea to keep back-up copies of models, textures, and any other data before use of these scripts. Current Features and Supported Functions: Import/Export Mesh Vertices/Faces Import/Export Materials Import/Export UV Mapping Code comments! (not the best, but I'll try to keep it somewhat documented for those who'd like to help improve it or understand what I've learned about the v3o format so far) Known Bugs: B001 - Can't export unless the model is uv unwrapped.
Dec 02, 2012 Los Angeles Mod 2.1 ===== ### The Los Angeles Mod is an USA modification for Emergency 4 and 911: First Responders Version 2.1 is the latest version and features: - More than 50 playable units from Los Angeles - A completely new freeplaymap made from scratch. - Highly detailed and accurate models - 10 new missions - New sirens.
Fixed B002 - Can't export an imported.v3o model when a texture image fails to load. A texture image can fail to load when it doesn't exist in the imported.v3o file directory.
Updates 3000 Fixed Bug #001 Added a ton of comments and removed some uneeded code If y'all have any issues with the script or find any bugs, let me know here. If you are able to send me (via PM) any models/textures/.blend/.v3o files you are having issues with, I can hopefully recreate the specific bug on my end to work on a fix a little faster.
If you have any feature requests, by all means ask! I can't guarantee anything but you never know till you try. Installation: 1. Extract the 'iomeshv3o.zip' file. You should have a directory called 'iomeshv3o' with four files inside. The file names are 'init.py', 'exportv3o.py', 'importv3o.py', and 'License.txt'. Open the '%USERPROFILE% AppData Roaming Blender Foundation Blender 2.73 ' directory in Windows Explorer.
If it doesn't already exsist, you need to create a folder named 'scripts'. Inside of the scripts folder, create another folder called 'addons'. Move the 'iomeshv3o' folder into the 'addons' directory. The four files referenced above should now be in the '%USERPROFILE% AppData Roaming Blender Foundation Blender 2.73 scripts addons iomeshv3o' folder. Start Blender up, and goto 'File-User Preferences'. In the User Preferences window, goto the 'Add-ons' section and search for 'v3o'. Enable the v3o add-on by checking the box on the far right.
You can save the setting by clicking 'Save User Settings'. The Import/Export options should now be available in the Blender File menu. The United States Army Mod is a modification for Emergency 4 and based on the presence of the US military in a Middle-Eastern region. The mod features an entirely new map, several army and local (middle-eastern) emergency units, new events, unique units, a development tree and much much more.
You can expect a total overhaul of the original game and fun and addictive gameplay! Important installation/play notes: 1. Remove any older US Army Mod installations (such as versions 0.4b and 0.5) 2.
Download and extract the.zip package 3. Install the.e4mod file 4. Launch the game and load the US Army mod 5. Use the mission-menu and select 'Play United States Army Mod' to launch a new game The US Army mod is not freeplay nor multiplayer compatible!
Don't forget to check out the US Army Mod Subforum for the latest news and discussions about this modification. This is the latest version of the London Modification which includes a new edited freeplay map with various UK buildings and civil traffic along with updated units & personnel from the capital’s main emergency response services: The Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service & London Fire Brigade. You can see mod content helps a lot. More than relaunch an almost similar game every year. Wokrshop / mod content is the clue. This would be really cool but this surely is the fault of the editor.
If you ever played with it you know how tedious it is to make something happen. And the documentation is scarce.
Originally posted by:Steam workshop wouldn't help. The modding capabilities of EM5, EM2016, EM2017 and EM 20 Years are amazing. Even the editor is much easier to handle than the EM4 editor.
But the community is screwed, there aren't many people left who want to modify the game. It's rather a problem of lack in community activity than a problem of modding capabilities and the editor. No that not even remotely true.
Did you ever mode em4? Have you made a mode for em5? I doubt the answer to either is yes.
I never done but i played with both editors. I am a bacholor of science in information science. I earn an leaving doing software. EM4 ediotor and game while place limits was much easyer for moder to use. EM5, even for some with software experince is hard to use, with little to no documention. The english documentation was never released. So unless you speak and read german there zero documentation.
Further more old version like em3 to em4 the mods could be converent and used in name game and furhter worked on. WHere that was not possible from Em4 to em5. Originally posted by:Steam workshop wouldn't help. The modding capabilities of EM5, EM2016, EM2017 and EM 20 Years are amazing.

I've worked on Bieberfelde for EM4 and I'm working on Bieberfelde - Next Generation for EM5. Any questions?;) The editor is easier.
But it's true, that programming and the import of new 3D models is more complex, but also more powerful on the other side. Originally posted by:No that not even remotely true.

Because i see post dating back to last year. EM5 was released 3 years ago.
There yet to be any mod that came close to even an em3 mod. So if so easy to used the modding tools why zero mods? T he group you say you part about has released no em5 mod either. There been one or two mods released that I seen.
Most abbandoned after an update to em5 because the update was released. Beside you even state the editor is more complex. EM5 has no real mods for one simple reason. The em4 modes found the editor to hard, found no documentations unless you where fluent in german.
I been around the em4 moding community for over 11 years. I been member on emergency planet for that many years. You even finaly even admitted ' that programming and the import of new 3D models is more complex' Seeing as that two major parts of modding. Scripts and models. What exactly is easyer? When EM4 was released it did not take 3 years for mods like LA mod or winterberg released.
Mods that push that realy expanded on the base game. That added thing that em5 still those not have. What has been released for em5? Nothing even close to those earl em4 mods. The reason the em3, and em4 mods choise not to mod for em5?
Because the editor was hards, with no documentionation, and they old mods could not be covereted. It was not worth there effort. That what just about everyone of them said on emergency planet.
Know I am not sure about the germ part of the comunity. But I image it the same since I have yet to see an em5 mod that realy adds anything to game and runs currently.
If you know of any feel to list mods that have been released. Mods in development realy can be counted till they been released. I do hope they do. But I doubt we ever say any em5 mods that come close to em3 or 4 mods. Originally posted by:And when was Bieberfelde - Next Generation for EM5 released?

It's a simple explanation: The EMERGENCY communities had their highest activities at the release of EMERGENCY 2012. Since then, the activity got lower every year, because lack of modding in EM2012/13/14 and the gameplay system of the games. That's why you can't expect the same modding activity as for EM3 / EM4. It takes time to rebuild the modding community. EMERGENCY 4 was based on EMERGENCY 3.
You could easily migrate EM3 modifications to EM4, so it's no big deal releasing EM4 projects short after the release of the game. The technic basically was the same.
Creating really good modifications for a game takes time. You can expect 2-3 years for development of good modifications. So just take time, seat back and get overwhelmed when the first big EM5 modification will be released.

I tried making my own but.
I can mod skyrim, i can mod WoW. It's just too difficult for me. Btw EM5 is 3 years old since yesterday;).
